A queuing system on the Internet!
A majority of communications today take part through the use of the Internet, so why not handle your queuing system via the Internet as well? Nemo-Q can provide a variety of solutions for queue management with the use of among other things the Internet.
A good example of this is the Swedish service offices within the public sector (public insurance, unemployment and municipal offices). These offices are today using a queuing system where a client host initially meets and directs the customer in to the appropriate web queue. This is done with the use of an iPod which communicates with the queue system server via the Internet. The working staff logs on to a webpage with a username and can then call on customers that are waiting to be serviced. Statistics are entirely managed with the help of the Internet and remote units.
Other uses include the possibility of receiving your queue ticket via the Internet. The customer then takes a ticket number for a certain organisation on their own homepage. Naturally the advantage of doing this is that the customer doesn’t have to leave home or work to get in line. The homepage can also show further information about how many people that are currently standing in line and information about the expected waiting time. Furthermore the system can send a reminder via text message prior to the customers’ number being called, based on the current queuing situation in the system.
